Therapy Services
At Me, Myself & Healing Counseling Services, we support adults who are used to holding everything together. Many of the individuals we work with are caregivers, professionals, parents, and high-functioning individuals who spend much of their lives showing up for others often at the expense of themselves. Therapy offers a dedicated space to pause, reflect, and speak openly without fear of judgment. Our clinicians provide compassionate, collaborative care designed to help you reconnect with yourself, strengthen emotional well-being, and develop healthier ways of coping with stress and life’s demands.
We offer individual, couples, and family therapy, with in-person services in Houston and virtual sessions available throughout Texas. Our work together may focus on managing stress and anxiety, navigating relationship challenges, processing life transitions, and understanding patterns that contribute to feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck. Our goal is to support you in creating space for healing, clarity, and meaningful change at a pace that honors your unique experience.

Services
Teen and Adolescent Therapy Services
The teen years can feel like a lot for them, and for the people who love them. School pressure, shifting friendships, social media, big emotions, identity questions, and the weight of figuring out who they are can leave teens feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or shut down. And as a parent, watching your child struggle without knowing how to help can be one of the hardest places to sit.
Our therapists create a warm, judgment-free space where teens can show up exactly as they are. We meet them where they are, with no forced conversations or pressure to have it all figured out. We work at their pace to build trust, develop coping tools, and help them better understand themselves.

We support teens and adolescents navigating:
Anxiety, panic, and constant worry
Depression, low mood, or loss of interest in things they once loved
Low self-esteem, body image concerns, and the pressure to "be enough"
Social struggles, bullying, friendship conflict, and feelings of isolation
Academic stress and performance anxiety
Family conflict and communication breakdowns at home
Identity exploration, including gender and sexuality
Grief, loss, and major life changes (divorce, moves, new schools)
The impact of social media and online pressures
Trauma and difficult past experiences
Big emotions like anger, sadness, or feeling "numb"
Self-harm urges or thoughts of hopelessness
A Note for Parents:
"We know reaching out for your teen takes courage. Our approach is collaborative; we will keep you appropriately involved while protecting the trust and confidentiality essential for effective therapy for your child. Together, we will help your teen build the skills, self-awareness, and resilience needed to navigate this season and the ones ahead."
Therapeutic Approaches We Use
Our licensed clinicians use a range of evidence based and insight oriented approaches. Treatment is tailored to your needs, goals, and comfort level, drawing from methods that support emotional awareness, skill building, and long term change.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT focuses on understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Sessions help you identify unhelpful patterns, develop practical coping skills, and respond to challenges with greater clarity and balance.

EMDR and Trauma Focused Approaches
EMDR supports the processing of distressing memories and experiences that continue to affect daily life. This approach helps reduce emotional intensity, build stability, and support healing without needing to relive details repeatedly.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS helps you understand different parts of yourself and how they influence emotions and behavior. Therapy focuses on self awareness, compassion, and healing inner conflicts in a respectful and non judgmental way.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT supports emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. This approach is helpful for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and building steady coping strategies.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT focuses on emotional connection and attachment patterns, especially within relationships. Therapy helps clients identify emotional needs, improve communication, and strengthen secure bonds.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy helps you examine the stories you hold about yourself and your experiences. Sessions focus on separating identity from problems and building a more empowering personal narrative.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT supports psychological flexibility by helping you accept difficult thoughts and emotions while committing to values based action. This approach encourages meaningful change without avoidance.
Mindfulness Based Approaches
Mindfulness based therapy helps you stay present, reduce reactivity, and develop awareness of thoughts and emotions without judgment. These skills support emotional balance and stress management.

Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic Therapy
These approaches focus on understanding how past experiences influence present behavior and relationships. Therapy supports insight, emotional depth, and long term personal growth.
